Communist propaganda on the destruction of the "proletarian city" Chapei, the Chinese portion of Shanghai, by Japanese imperialists threatened by the organized Chinese working class. Published simultaneously by British socialists under their Modern Books imprint. The U.S. edition was published by the Workers Party of America, the predecessor to the Communist Party USA.
