Seller: ohiotom (2,051) 100%, Location: Canton, Ohio, Ships to: Americas, Europe, Asia, ZA, Item: 232143822050 A 1920`s period Lincoln Clipper Ship Model # 1342 solid cast brass chandelier professionally rewired and fully operational and ready to hang and enjoy. A great dinning room entryway or accent ceiling lamp for a century home restoration or just to enjoy as a decorating accent in most any space. This magnificent chandelier is made from roughly 23 pounds of solid brass and was never intended for ordinary homes. I have never seen this unique chandelier come on the market in all the months I have been searching. Lightly cleaned being careful to preserve the original brass patina with factory applied darker bronze accents. The overall brass / bronze patinas display the great antique look and coloring that comes only from original tones applied by the manufacturer and carefully preserved. There is light polychrome accents on the ships and ocean waves. The solid brass canopy is included and pictured. It weighs almost 3 pounds itself and the entire fixture mounts to the ceiling and has no chain. It is a ridged mount. It appears the chandelier could be lengthened by introducing a brass tube between the top of the fixture and the canopy. I have not tried this, but it looks possible. Please note that the 6 sockets and bobeches will have to be removed and boxed separately from the chandelier to insure safe shipping of the fixture. Whomever buys the lamp will be responsible for re-installing the 6 sockets and the bobeches that screw on to them. Please do not buy unless you are willing and can re-install the sockets. The photos show the lamp outfitted with 2 light bulb styles. The bulbs are well used and therefore not included. They are available new at most large stores. Measurements for the lamp are as follows: Total length from the rim of the canopy to the bottom of the bottom finial is 20 inches. The fixture itself is 20 in. across. Condition: Excellent used condition. Estate attic find. Cleaned, Lightly buffed, fully disassembled, rewired, tested and ready to enjoy. New antique style reproduction cloth covered wire used throughout. Original switchless fatboy brass ceramic light sockets by Arrow, tested and were retained for the restoration. Designed to work from a wall switch. One socket has replaced internal marts because original was damaged in storage somewhere over the years., Color: Brass with bronze accents + colors, Material: Solid Brass (23 pounds of brass), Maker: Lincoln Manufacturing Co. Model 1342
