What can you say about Cerebus?. He also happens to be an aardvark. Therein lies the rub. Cerebus is one of several comics that takes a satirical jab at Conan the Barbarian. What sets Cerebus apart is the sheer hipness of it all. Listing is NOT for all issues -- select and buy the one(s) you want. Don't buy one and think you are getting all -- I will not cancel/refund accidental purchases. I do combine shipping and offer discounts for multiple issues purchased. Just add the issues you want to your eBay cart and everything will be automatically calculated. The more you buy, the more you save! If you are an non-US buyer, combined shipping does not work automatically -- please contact me with the books you want and I can make the proper arrangements. Please see 'Seller Notes' for details on my collection. I have over 5,000 books from the 70s & 80s and am trying to figure out the best way to list them on eBay. Creating listings by title with issues as a variation seems to be the most efficient, plus allows me to automatically combine shipping and to offer discounts for multiple issues purchased. However, I lose the the option for buyers to make an offer. If there are specific books you would like to make an offer on, send me a message. Please check my eBay feedback to see what other buyers say about the condition of my books and be sure to check out my other listings for combined shipping discounts. Finally, while eBay is configured to not offer returns, if you feel a book has been misrepresented, I will work with you on it. Important note about shipping: I ship my comics in their sealed Mylar bag (no backing board) sandwiched between two 8.5" x 11" pieces of 1/8" corrugated cardboard placed in a 12" x 9" manila envelope. This should be adequate to protect the comics 99% of the time when shipped first class. You will have the choice to select either first class or economy/media mail shipping. Be advised that economy shipping is just like it sounds -- economy/3rd class and mail isn't treated all that well. Most of the time my packaging should withstand the abuse that 3rd class mail sees, but I can't be held responsible for damage caused by the post office in delivering the package as described. Choose first class shipping for more reliable handling and if you don't like my packing method, please contact me prior to purchase/payment to workout a different arrangement. Cerebus the Aardvark (1977-2004) What can you say about Cerebus? He’s a mean-tempered, sword-wielding barbarian. He also happens to be an aardvark. Therein lies the rub. Cerebus is one of several comics that takes a satirical jab at Conan the Barbarian. What sets Cerebus apart is the sheer hipness of it all. In Cerebus you’ll find fantasy heroines debating women’s rights, Groucho Marx stowing away in the hold of a pirate ship with a barrel of stand-up comics, and the pious priest, Roach, on a holy mission to convert the heathen. All the while, Cerebus storms and stews. He is a three-foot barbarian with a progressively worsening attitude. It’s no wonder Cerebus has become a cult classic. Cerebus creator Dave Sim envisions this series as a 300-issue epic, broken into several major story cycles. At the time of this writing, he’s nearly there, an unprecedented accomplishment for a self-publisher. Cerebus #90 Cover art by Dave Sim and Gerhard (backgrounds). Condition: All books are from my personal collection, with most bought direct off the shelf new between 1980-1990 (anything earlier than 1980 was collected from local comic shops in LA). All my issues were immediately bagged in Mylar and stored vertically in comic storage boxes. Most were never read and have not been taken out and handled after originally bagged. Most books should be considered collector grade and in very fine to near mint condition, if not higher, unless otherwise noted. All photos/scans are of the actual book(s) being sold, still in their Mylar bags. My scanner seems to have trouble scanning bright covers/backs with large areas of uniform light colors, which may show "banded", probably a refraction from the Mylar bag -- this is the scanner, not the comic. Any scans of the back on an issue may reveal the external tape sealing the Mylar bag. Please see my note on shipping at the bottom of the main item description., Issue: #90 (Sep 1986), Series: Cerebus, Grade: 9.0 VF/NM, Publisher: Aardvark-Vanaheim, Tradition: US Comics, Certification: Uncertified, Main Character: Cerebus, Year: 1986
