Vintage: circa 1900 -1930: READING HARDWARE, works fine, entry,, vestibule or foyer mortise lock with with the key. Push buttons work perfectly.
The lock is reversible. Heavy brass faceplate with body of the lock clearly maker marked RHC one of America's many high quality manufacturers of builder's hardware during the second half of the 19th Century and early 20th Century.
Dimensions as follows:
Brass front plate measures 5 1/2" long, 1" wide, 1/8" thick.
The back set (the measurement from the front edge of the brass faceplate to the center of the door knob hole) is 2 5/8".
Box is 3 3/8" deep from the front edge of the brass face plate and the box is 3 1/4" top to bottom. Screws are on 4 5/8" centers.
If you are simply replacing the lock, you may have everything you need. However, if you need a split swivel knob post for this lock or any other items for the lock set, please let us know.
