Seller: buckspalace (51) 100%, Location: Bakersfield, California, Ships to: US & many other countries, Item: 274372459548 In the late sixties country singer Buck Owens had a red, white and blue guitar designed. It soon became an iconic instrument that was famous world-wide. Buck wanted the guitars to be available to his fans, and commissioned the first models (Harmony built) to be sold via Sears and Roebuck in their catalog. As those original guitars were soon in short supply, in 1978 he issued a second version. Fast forward to 2001, he made a deal with Fender to build a third and final version of the red, white and blue guitar in one of their factories in China. Buck was very proud of these guitars… he was personally involved with their design and made many suggestions during the prototype stages to ensure they were up to his standards. The Buck Owens Private Foundation has the remaining guitars in their archives, and is proud to offer them for sale. They are new and double-boxed in their original unopened factory boxes. Condition: New, Country/Region of Manufacture: United States
