Thanks for stopping in to check out my duck decoy. I am not a collector, however I have been tasked with selling about 20 really nice duck decoys from a large collection in Virginia. The previous owner passed away several years ago and the family is checking the online market to see if this is the best way to liquidate the hundreds of decoys he had. Fortunately, the previous owner had tagged all the decoys with their identification. I’ll try to verify that his tags are correct before I list but again, I am not an expert by far, so there is a chance the descriptions might be off. Please look at the pictures well. If you see that I have mis-identified anything please let me know. All of the decoys are in good condition and have likely had some amount of restoration. Please view the pictures well for the best description of the decoy being sold. Please check back often as I will be adding a few decoys a day until they’re sold.
The owner tagged this decoy as a Mason/Pratt pattern decoy. It is in good condition. There is some paint crazing around the head and neck area. Paint has cracked where the head is attached but it is still tightly attached. Paint seems original but there may have been some touch ups. I can’t tell. See pics to determine for yourself.
