Here we are offering a stunning 19th century figural centerpiece. This lovely reclining 18th century lady is holding a tastefully hand painted Sweetmeat bowl and both are resting on a waved base. The hand applied petite flowers around the outside of the bowl are not only beautiful but they are in excellent condition. The blue crossed sword under glaze and the incised 2858 are clear in the photos but if for some reason they aren’t easily seen send a message and I will send photos thru eBay messages.
I stated she is large. It measures 12 3/8” x 7.5” x 7 and weighs just under 5 pounds without packaging.
What I know additionally is there possibly would have been a male accompaniment as they are illustrated in Meissen:Collectors Catalogue . Sadly the Estate only has the one and the heirs do not recall another. She would be a fabulous gift for any collector including yourself.
