Here for your shopping pleasure is a beautiful and rare Vintage Ralph Polcini crystal rhinestone duette dress clips / brooch in the Art Deco style from the 1930's, inscribed on the reverse with Patent No. 2,044,225 which was assigned to Ralph Polcini on June 16, 1936. This large silver tone duette is completely encrusted with pave-set clear crystal rhinestones, all round shaped except for 2 baguettes in the very center. Two oval sapphire blue rhinestones in the center provide the perfect finishing accent to the piece. It can be worn as a brooch, or as a pair of dress clips when removed from the frame  Measuring  3" in length by 1 1/4" in width, the brooch fastens securely with a rollover clasp - note that it is a bit stiff, but when inserted correctly into the clasp it works perfectly. The clips are a bit loose, and could be tightened by a jeweler to assure secure attachment to clothing. On the reverse of the brooch frame at the bottom we find engraved "Pat. No. 2,044,225". Unsigned. Weighs 31 grams. Excellent overall condition with very minimal wear consistent with age, an Estate find, with one notation:  one rhinestone is missing in the upper left section, only noticeable under close inspection with loupe.
