DESCRIPTION
Hada: Itame Hada – wood grain pattern with coarse Jinieattaches on the surface.
Hamon: Gunome Choji – undulating clove seed shape folds inHamon.
Boshi: Midarekomi and turns back to Komaru.
Nakago: The tang has Kesho Yasurime file marks and its endis Kengyo heel shape.
Horimono: Katachiri Bohi extends to Nakago on both side ofthe blade.
Habaki: One layer silver base Habaki with Shonai style.
Tsuba: Antique iron base Tsuba with vine design with goldinlay.
Fuchi Kashira: Brass base Fuchi Kashira set with carvedarabesque design.
Kojiri: Iron base Kojiri with polished surface.
Menuki: Engraved flowers.
Tsuka: Ray skin with Oyatsubu and wrapped with dark brownpure silk in Morohineri style.

SWORDSMITH
Miike Jyu Kunitada was born in 1954 in to the famous Komiyafamily of swordsmiths.
He learned under his father Komiya Kuniharu and his famedgrand father Komiya Kunimitsu
whose Owazamono swords were called Ima-Kotetsu. Their sword forging skill and
techniques have been passed to their family members.
