Seller: iceray111 (843) 100%, Location: Sylva, North Carolina, Ships to: Free Local Pickup, Item: 302681396295 So this might be a little confusing, but this is a reproduction of a 16th Century Table D'Hote (Trestle Dining Table) made of solid oak by a French company called Art et Meubles de France in the "Richelieu" style (a village in France known for it's exceptional carvers and cabinetmakers) for Bridgeford Furniture Co., which was part of the Baker Furniture Co. family. I have the original catalogue, which pieces everything together, but all you need to know is that while the $10,000 Aldo Tura "goatskin" dining room table that I'm also selling here on eBay is the most expensive table I've ever seen, this is the most brilliant -- in terms of design and just sheer magnitude of appearance. It's also by far the nicest item in the entire catalogue. C'est magnifique! The table is 30" tall, 35" wide, and 79" long in it's basic form. When you add the two massive 22" long leaves, the table extends to an impressive 123". The leaves are not inserted, but rather added to either end of the table, using the most spectacular, and clearly 16th Century hardware and design. If you look closely, you can see some of this hardware in pictures 8 and 9. Also, as I hope you can see from picture 10, the grain and design of the main table is continued with the 2 leaves. Like I said, c'est magnifique! As for the chairs, well, they are spectacular. Fine leather accented with brass studs on solid oak bases and a beautiful structural design. There are two masters and 6 side chairs, they stand 44" tall to the back, and they are a positive match to this exceptional, indeed exquisite trestle table -- adding an element of grace and beauty to the masculine brawn and might of the table. Believe me, I could go on, but the pictures tell most of the story, and the catalogue describes the rest... Lastly, while I have it listed as Local Pick-up only, I'm happy to receive a freight shipping company picking it up here in Sylva, NC (which is about 45 minutes west of Asheville). Because some people have some confusion around "freight," let me be clear and say the procurement of what's typically referred to as a white glove freight shipping company is up to you and my only responsibility, once the sale is complete, is to be here on the day and time you tell me they're coming to pick up what is at that point your item on your behalf. That said, I'm happy to assist in any way I can, including providing any specific details such as weight on the item(s), and providing a list of websites and companies that offer such services: uship being the website most people use in these instances. As for the time it takes for you to make those arrangements, I am also open and flexible: everything is in climate-controlled storage, so no worries there. Thank you and cheers!
