There are a few small dents on the base and some corrosion on the top. I was unable to locate any maker marks.

The marks indicate is was made circa 1830 in Birmingham by well known silver maker Thomas Shaw. Markings on inside cover of box and shown in our pictures. Box is in good condition, opens and closes nicely. One side is hand engraved with flowers, while other side is hand engraved with stitching and a small open space for initials.
