The makers mark on this wonderful piece of London sterling silver is too obscure to learn the makers name, but the other hallmarks are clear. The date letter is quite specific ie between May 29, 1784 and November 30, 1784. There is strong beading work just under the opening and the three feet are step layered. The monogram reads “HM to WM” and is nicely scripted. There is an engraving opposite the monogram of an upright arm with the hand gripping a sword. The piece weighs 15.19ozt.
