The print is stamped/signed in the lower right corner. It measures approximately 13 3/4" tall and 9 3/8" wide. The print is in good condition with minor foxing and light bends on two corners. A wonderfully printed design showing a woman protecting herself from rain and wind with a parasol. The creping process, which was popular in the early twentieth century, adds durability to the paper and tends to intensify color but also changes the dimensions of the woodblock print. Pencil Signed /FramedAs you can see from the photos, the paper has toned with age to a brownish color. It is framed under antiglare glass and measures approximately 17 x 15 1/2” framed, and the viewable image size is approximately 10 x 7 1/2”. The frame is in overall good condition, and the back paper does have a couple of tears and stains, but it does not effect the artwork. It is double signed on the front as you can see in the lower margin one of them I believe is a plate signature and one is pencil signed. I believe this is an early piece, but I have not examined it out of the frame. Sold as is as found so please look at the photos closely. Thanks for your interest.

It is from an original by the infamous Japanese Artist Okumura Masanobu (see below). Printed on a cloth that is 19" x 15" it has been framed at one stage of its life as it has foxing around the edges. Famous for his depiction of beautiful women, this is a "Beauty after Bathing". The colours are vivid and it stands out from the crowd. Carrying the chop marks of the original artist. Okumura Masanobu (Japanese: 奥村 政信; 1686 – 13 March 1764) was a Japanese print designer, book publisher, and painter. He also illustrated novelettes and in his early years wrote some fiction.
