Egyptian motifs were very popular for the home, jewelry, clothes, etc.. The ornate casting, features an Egyptian Pharaoh, on each side of the hook, and the details are still crisp. It retains its original matching ornately cast iron escutcheon. The number "8047" is cast into the reverse side of the escutcheon, and we assume was the model number.
