Seller: rootmarm2 (76) 100%, Location: Sherborn, Massachusetts, Ships to: Free Local Pickup, Item: 192596948613 This door was used as an interior door in an early 1700’s barn that was salvaged in 2002 from Groton, MA. It does not appear as though it was ever used as an exterior door as there is no weathering or sun exposure evident. The door also does not appear to have been painted so the patina is incredible. I put a couple of coats of shellac on the front face for protection but that can easily be reworked or removed. Board and batten construction with hand-chamfered battens supporting the door boards. Square head nails holding the whole thing together. Door #1: 36 1/32” wide 817/16” tall ¾” thick I am posting two of these doors but they are not matching as they have slight differences in appearance and the dimensions are slightly different.
