Seller: burbank41 (387) 100%, Location: Taos, New Mexico, Ships to: US & many other countries, Item: 332701322094 This is an antique Victoriam stamped finger plate door push from a demolished home in Illinois. The home was built is the late 1890s and was filled with carved woodwork and Victorian style hardware. I am not saying that this plate is brass because I do not know. I suspect, however, that it is not. It may be copper with a bronze finish or steel with a bronze finish. This particular plate was on a door that swung both ways and had no handles, only this push plate. It is decorated at each end and around the sides. The center section is flat for easy pushing. Four screw holes are at the corners. Screws are not included. It is a very beautiful piece that would look nice as a retro installation. The buyer may wish to polish it carefully since I have had it for 50 years and have never polished it. There are signs of overpainting at the edges from a paint job when no masking was done. It is 7 7/8” long and 2 5/8” wide. Condition: Antique in excellent condition.
