Seller: bigsteveareno29 (3,885) 99.1%, Location: York, Pennsylvania, Ships to: US, Item: 381593164841 Description This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian home. It is made of oak and is mostly painted. The newel post is beautiful with carved floral panels on all 4 sides. There are 2 sections of railing. One section goes up the stairs and the other is for the 2nd floor hallway. These have great Victorian design with turned balusters, rope turned spindles and ball finials. The upper railing is 108 inches long by 37 tall. The usable stair rail length is just over 12 feet long by 30 tall. The newel is 50.25 inches tall, 8.5 square at the base and 7 square at the shaft. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. The stair rail sat on a board as the upper rail does but we do not have it. There are small missing trim pieces. The post has a crack at the base and a couple missing pieces of egg and dart molding. Please look at the pictures carefully. About Us My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. I found and purchased all of the things that I needed for my project and lots of extra treasures which I eventually resold. 17 years later this is still my full time job! I salvage whatever I can think can be reused as long as there is room in my warehouse. The warehouse is open for treasure hunting anytime by appointment. Just contact me to schedule a day and time! Thanks for visiting. Steve and Michelle Condition: Please read the description carefully., Material: Wood
