This Chair is in very solid Antique condition. it has not been restored and it has everything you could ask for, It is very cool! It has Knicks and scratches like you would expect on an original chair Over 100 years old. The Cast and steel hardware has amazing patina that adds so much character that cannot be re-produced, The Back of the chair tilts back and has great tension, you can adjust how far back it goes as well. The seat height is adjustable up and down with a Screw mechanism and it swivels 360 degrees on the base. The caster move freely and the wheels are in good condition, they appear to be original. Everything moves freely and operates as it should. There are no cracks in the wood. This is a very rare chair in terms of the tilting seat back, The hardware used on this chair was a very expensive option in the early 1900's. Many of the pieces on this chair are stamped with Sikes name, "Sikes co PA" verifying the time period and really shows the pride they put into their product.
