Fabulous piece of an early wool blanket. Not a camp blanket but rather an early woven blanket from the latter 1800's to early 1900's. An incredible find when I restored an early 1900's damaged quilt (it was found inside the old quilt itself which dated to about 1880-1900, a lovely surprise) Would be wonderful used in rustic primitive projects for a farmhouse or cabin setting or even simply displayed. It's quite a striking old piece, looks beautifully primitive and old though still strong. There will be some random wear to the wool (primarily to the lback stripes more than the red wool itself) so is best suited for the artisan who desires an overall  more worn look in their project. The closest I could get to the color is in photo 1 & 3 yet even redder. It is a nice rich true old red. It has been freshly hand washed. ~** Measures aprox 32" by 32". I have 2 available at the time of this listing. The cost is for "1". *~ I sell antique and vintage fabric. Each textile is different; some possibly used, some unused. I will give you my best assessment. I do not always launder them nor do I know all their history, how they have been stored over time etc.. I have a 30+ year long &  extensive knowledge of textiles and gauge age ranges; fiber content etc.. to the best of my ability.
