Item:202790269575For your consideration is this very intriguing pair of hand carved black ebonized side chairs believed to be made from Elm wood, Mahogany or Rosewood circa 1870. There are expected areas of finish loss due to age and wear. The dragon chair at some point had previous repair on one leg(not the best job, but still sturdy). As shown in the pics. There is one wooden screw cover missing on each chair, which could be replaced. You can see this on the back bottom portion of each chair. The Rooster's eye appears to be some sort of shell, possibly abalone. These chairs still look very nice and very detailed. The Dragon chair is just slightly taller than the rooster chair. Dimensions are approx. 40" tall (to top of dragon chair back) x 16.5" (from floor to seat) x 16" depth. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.
