Antique Japanese Lacquer Tray & Two Dishes ; Up for sale is a Japanese tray and two dishes in red and black lacquer with painted landscapes and birds, dated early 20th century. The indented long wood tray rounded at both ends is hand painted with a mountain and clouds and two gold gilt cranes standing in a stream with plants on rocks. Both outsides of the tray are designed to bear geometric motifs in silver color. The two round dishes are delightfully painted with slight difference with mountains, hills, trees, a sailboat and a raft operated by a man. There are no marks for the tray and dishes.

Measures: Tray, 20 1/8” long x 6 ½” wide x 7/8” thick; Dishes, 6 7/8” rim diameter x 4 ¼” base diameter 7/8” high. Condition: Good and clean, with some paint loss and tiny chips to the tray, consistent with age and use.
