$240.00 0 Bids Unsold, $32.00 Shipping

Seller: timtyler75 (596) 100%, Location: Oakton, Virginia, Ships to: US, Item: 322998799733 Miss Mary Mason completed her linen and silk work in 1828. Her alphabet and fruit basket motif is completely charming with neat stitch work throughout. The linen is stitched with rows of alphabet letters, numbers and border patterns ending with Mary's name, and the date of 1828 with a fruit basket on either side. The linen has overall discoloration consistent with its age, with some staining. The colors of the silks are good with some small areas of stitch loss. The sampler is mounted in a beautiful Birdseye maple frame with gold gilt slips. Frame has a few age chips and cracks in the veneer but otherwise in great shape and has a wonderful appearance. The frame measures 15 ¼” x 13 ½”. The sampler measures 11 ½” x 9 ½”. Will be well packed. PayPal only.
