This is a hand crafted, one of a kind barrel chair. Might have been made around the 1950’s I would guess. The most interesting thing about this is the barrel that was used to make the chair. It’s a 50 gallon barrel that once held the world famous Dixon’s Silica Graphite Paint. Invented by the Joseph Dixon Crucible Company (Formally know as Dixon Ticonderoga) in the late 1890’s and has been used globally in the early 1900’s and even still today! It’s one of the best architectural paints ever created and was used on many historic buildings, railroads, bridges, etc. this is a wonderful piece made exceptionally well. Has a padded back & seat covered with red leather. The seat is hinged in order to lift up so you are able to store things in the bottom section of the barrel. Available for pick up. Hoping that it will go to someone that will really appreciate its historical value! You will never come across another barrel chair quite like it. Type: Chairs, Material: Iron, Height: 2’ 3”, Width: 1’ 8”, Region of Origin: America, Depth: 1’ 8”, Color: Red, Black & Brown
