Seller: 2277brenda (5,277) 100%, Location: Dayton, Ohio, Ships to: US, CA, GB, JP, AU, Item: 133368240114 I am offering this lovely antique enameled sterling silver napkin ring by David Andersen of Christiana (now Oslo), Norway. It is marked with the hammer and tongs hallmark and 925, as pictured. It is also engraved on the inside rim, 'Christiania 1891', as pictured. The beautiful napkin ring is decorated with an art nouveau floral pattern. The background is cobalt blue with colorful floral sprays and decorative enameled medallions. Within the cobalt are 2 circular medallions with 3 blue forget-me-nots and an oval medallion with another variation of the floral design. There is also an outlined plain cartouche where the piece could be monogrammed. However, it has never been monogrammed. Good antique condition but with a minor shallow flake to the black enameling in one of the circular floral medallions, as shown in a close up picture. I can feel it with my finger when I rub across it but it is barely noticeable when looking at the napkin ring in person. This minor enamel damage does not detract from the beauty of the piece. Thanks for looking! Condition: Good antique condition. One shallow flake to the blue enamel as shown in a close of picture. No monogram.
