Antique Czech Molded Bohemian Tabular Tear Drop African Trade Wedding Beads
Vintage / Antique molded glass beads made in Bohemia better known as the Czech Republic specifically for being traded into Africa in the 1920s-1950's. Among the Fulani women of Mali these trade beads were used during weddings being presented to the bride, hence the name evolved wedding beads. Largest bead of the set measures 18.46mm long by 12mm wide. These beads are worn everyday by some African women and traditionally on their wedding day. This Czech bead set is in good overall rustic condition with slight wear. Perfect for jewelry making or adding to your African trade bead collection.
