ANTIQUE late 19th CENTURY CAST-IRON LIGHTNING ROD or WEATHER VAN DIRECTIONAL with RUBY RED SHOOTING STAR and CRESCENT MOON GLASS INSERT!!! This is truly a wonderful hard to find item.  It measures 22.25" in length and 4.5" tall at the tallest or widest point. A GREAT piece of utilitarian folk art!!!  It is in good condition overall, retaining a nicely aged untouched surface and patina - expected pitting to the cast-iron surface from many, many years of exposure to the outside weather/elements - glass insert is free of cracks, but some minor chips to edges and edge staining from contact with iron.
