Seller: trinitysouljer_7 (46) 100%, Location: Morgantown, West Virginia, Ships to: US, Item: 302147973324 Well, what can I say about one of the greatest pieces that I've bought. Shipping and handling may be more if outside the continental U.S. I obtained this at an old estate sale in our older wealthy section of town. She had an old courtyard, but this was the only finial left from her childhood. She is 74 years old. She was downsizing with a sale, and found this in the basement, along with many other great architectural pieces. I will be listing those tomorrow, hopefully. No makers' marks, or any other means of identification. Used to be painted black, and retains about 80% of the original color, according to her. It still has an old pad of wood attached. It measures about 21" by 12.5".And the mounting hardware extends about 10" from the finial, counting the wooden block. One of my favorite pieces that I've ever let go. No damage or repairs. You'd be hard-pressed to place a dent into this thing. This is the representative symbol of the french monarchy, the "Fleur-De-Li." Make your estate a little "royal" by displaying this heavy, but affordable, piece of French symbolism on your premises.
