It is made of oak and is currently painted. I salvage whatever I can think can be reused as long as there is room in my warehouse. The shaft has reel and bead molding at the corners and on 3 sides are carved vines with leaves and berries. Description This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. It is made of oak and is currently painted. The cap and finial are missing. The top has carved flowers on three sides. The shaft has reel and bead molding at the corners and on 3 sides are carved vines with leaves and berries. The base is notched for the first 2 steps and is not freestanding as is. It measures 57.25 tall as is, 48.75 tall if you remove the bottom notch, 8.25 inches square at the base and 7 square at the shaft. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning but should clean up nicely. Please look at the pictures carefully.
