Seller: peoriaarchsalvage (114) 100%, Location: Peoria, Illinois, Ships to: Free Local Pickup, Item: 222311083931 This is an exquisite, one-of-a-kind built in bench from the late 1800s. We removed this item from a Victorian era home prior to demolition. The bench is solid oak and in very good condition. Please feel free to request more pictures via email or Ebay message. *Imperfections (all pictured)- small split in upper left joint, drip in varnish beneath scroll carving, wear on seat , hardware attached for curtain on inner sides of the columns, chips on wood at the inside of the bench legs, right side of the column at the very top has marks from where a piece of gingerbread decoration was attached (spanned an entryway into the home). This bench is approximately 125 years old, all wear is age appropriate. *Not pictured or worth noting- the back of this piece was built into a staircase and therefore is partially unfinished. The treads were individually fit into the back of this bench and are very visible. The stairs wrapped around the right side of the bench, as shown in the last photo. The bench is meant to sit up against a wall on the left side (unfinished along the left side), the left bench arm is about half the width of the right bench arm; not symmetrical. There are a few nails protruding from the bench's 'frame' where it was attached to the floor/wall/ceiling. These can be cut or hammered down. *Shipping- buyers are free to arrange their own shipping and we will work with whatever service they choose, or, you are welcome to pick up in person as well. We do NOT offer to crate this piece. Buyers are asked to arrange shipment within 30 days of purchase and must notify us when it has been finalized.
