Item:172854675136This antique Victorian dresser was originally part of dressesr/mirror set that has since been separated. It was produced in the late Victorian period (mid to late 1800s), done primarily in the American Eastlake style, with a focus on hand-carved accents and gorgeous walnut burlwood drawers. The top is a single slab of rose marble - it is not permanently affixed to the dresser, as was the custom when this piece was produced. The rear right corner has had a 2" x 1/2" section broken off, probably occurring when the mirror and dresser were physically separated. The marble top measures 53" long, 24" wide, and 1" deep. There are, in total, four drawers. The top row are three small drawers - two with stylized pulls and no locks, and the center drawer with a lock and no handle. The remaining two drawers are large - they run the length of the piece and each sport two pulls a piece and each have a functional lock. The smaller drawers move easily on their runs but the bottom two drawers will need some lubricating. Overall, this piece is good shape, though it does show age appropriate wear and damage. The back of the piece is a solid piece of wood and the dresser measures 28" high, 49" wide (without the marble top), and 23 1/4" deep. Please consult images, and message with any questions.
