Seller: frans529 (1,443) 100%, Location: Smithsburg, Maryland, Ships to: Free Local Pickup, Item: 223943340704 Beautiful antique J.P. Coats solid oak revolving countertop display for their thread spools. Completely original and includes the spools seen in the pictures. This is one of the original versions which can be determined by the "Patent Applied For." The text face used in the company name also dates it back to the 1870s. A similar display was featured in the movie "McClintock" and was seen on the counter in the hardware store fight scene with Wayne and O'Hara. The case measures 16 1/4" wide x 17 1/4" deep at the top and 16 1/4" wide x 21 1/8" at the base. Height is 22 3/4". Revolves on a lazy susan base. Hardware is in good working order and all glass is intact. Both tambour doors open smoothly — some normal wear on applied foil around knobs. On the sides with the tambour doors there is also a beautiful floral design stamped into the wood. This has been proudly displayed in our smoke free home for over 25 years. Originally purchased in Adamstown, PA. Due to the weight (50lbs) it's only available for pickup. I will be happy to cooperate with any shipping company you select or feel free to pick it up in person. If you are interested in vintage items or small antiques, please check my other listings.
