Item:192596727088This listing is for a very nice museum quality Ancient Egyptian Scarab that dates back to the New Kingdom era, specifically the 18th dynasty during the reign of Thutmose III (also known as the "Napoleon of Egypt"). The scarab bears the cartouche of Thutmose III in two egyptian hieroglyphic variations. It is in very good condition; you can see that it has aged quite a bit overtime. Mini cracks & holes have formed in the scarab from erosion as it aged in the dirt overtime. The face of the beetle is eroded as well, and the scarab has ancient dirt encrusted inside of the holes. It has everything you can expect from a 3,400+ year old scarab. I can determine that this is an authentic scarab from the wear that has occurred on it. Fake scarabs are typically less worn & are made to look either as perfect as possible, or are made to look like they've been worn overtime but usually in an obvious way. This scarab does not bear any traits indicating that it's a forgery. It is 1/2 of an inch big. Message me if you need anything.Condition:Extremely aged (3,400+ years old) - The face of the beetle has eroded a bit over the years, tiny cracks have formed in the scarab overtime as well., Material:Ancient Stone, Era:New Kingdom (18th Dynasty), Orginal/Reproduction:Original
