Seller: watsburg (3,464) 100%, Location: Keller, Texas, Ships to: US & many other countries, Item: 264201679566 Purchased years ago from Ron Ratkevich of Tucson, Arizona, this scarab measures about 5/8 inches long. Appears to be turquoise colored faience. Though the label describes it as "Egyptian Scarab (beautifully preserved) Often Tomb Offering Eeir el-Bahri Site New Kingdom 1473-1458 BC West Bank of the Nile River made during the rule of Hatshepsut" the crude execution makes me think this piece is not genuine. I would have believed the carving should be more detailed. Not being sold as original, so if it turns out to be, you get one cheap.
