Rare original antique engraving from an 1870s French illustrated journal. It depicts two brave shepherd dogs saving a little girl who is being attached by a ferocious wolf. The lead dog appears to be a Leonberger, while the second is clearly a Beauceron. Nice historic view of these amazing dogs.

The print is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 10.5 x 14.5 inches (26.5 x 36.5 cm). The picture area fills about half of the page and measures about 9x7 inches, with a French caption below. The text on the page could easily be trimmed before framing, or hidden under a window mat.

The page is in excellent condition for its age. There is text/photos on the back of the print. See scan for an accurate view of the condition.

This print will come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
