Seller: smallforest (2,582) 100%, Location: Portland, Oregon, Ships to: US & many other countries, Item: 282654978423 Here now is one Alaska Yukon Pacific Exposition Golden Pennyweight Token Graded 62. These tokens are included in Hibler & Kappen's book "So-Called Dollars" where they are listed as HK-360. What makes this particular item expecially interesting is that it has been identified as a Rarity 8 Variety which you can read about here: filmsgraded.com/mehart/amr/d/4/index.htm Evidently, there are Five Different Known Varieties of this medal, of which this is the rarest. What makes it the are variety are two things: First is the lack of a Die Crack on Obverse above the Second 'A' in Alaska, which, when present, is ARMD #3. The Second is the placement of the "Berry" at around the 0430 position on the clock dial. The Berry is nestled closely to the underlying leaf. On the more common ARMD #5, that Berry is attached to a stem. I have included a pictured example of the ARMD#3 Obverse with die crack above 'A' which shares a common reverse with the ARMD#4, the #3 is more common. I have also included a picture of the standard reverse design as found on ARMD #'s 1 & 2 which are the most commonly encountered form: It is the pictured reverse in the fully enclosed holder. Yes, this is picking nits, but that is what collectors do. BONUS: the pictured Golden Mount Hood Token containing at least 1/20 Ounce of Pure .9999 Gold. Condition: This Rare Variety is Graded 62!
