(this is not the heavy gloss of today's glossy models, but more of a semi-gloss)

Horse was New In Box before customization.

***Sometimes, removing original finish paint from a Breyer can reveal surprises.

Sometimes the paint stains the plastic.

In some cases, the effect is nice.  A golden paint can leave pretty rose tones in the plastic.

Unfortunately, "ageless bronze" stains the plastic with a very unattractive green-yellow.

Two of the photos show a comparison with an unstained, white plastic Breyer.

(This auction only includes Hyksos.  Mason is offered in a separate auction)

Also, for anyone who isn't familiar with 90s era Breyers, please take note:

These older models have more factory flaws than today.

(extra plastic 'flashing' at the seams, less smoothness in the overall finish, etc)

The design has been air-erased,

which is like etching by sand-blasting

on a miniature scale.

So the design you see is bare plastic.

created with the silhouettes

of 40 different Breyer models!

(many of the 40 models are represented more than once, but in different sizes)
