It features an exotic thumb shaped handle with scalloped upper edge and concentric circles in relief, while the surface is decorated with a mix of radiate lines, squares and triangles and other geometric forms in relief. The base is plain and flat. Intact, free of encrustation and showing only minor surface wear. An uncommon and desirable example. PROVENANCE: Formerly in a Colorado private collection, assembled by a United Nations staffer while working in the Middle East in the mid-1960s, thence by descent to the most recent owner.
