.........................................................

This is a gorgeous and rare bowl.  Its a lower rim bowl, like a master berry bowl.

Measure:   7-3/4" wide by 2-1/4" tall.

It is from the American brilliant period, (late 1800's to 1915) which is over 100 years old now!

Authentication/Documentation:  This pattern is rare but it can be found documented in Labac cycle 11 on pg. 226. (in a meriden catalog in this book) Meriden co. called the pattern  "Barclay"

This has a gorgeous classical geometric design. There is a large intricate cut 24 point hobstar in the center/bottom.  The sides are elegant 16 point hobstars alternating with elongated flat stars, separated by strawberry diamond & crosshatching.  The cutters finished it with a well round sawtooth rim- but the rim is worn now.

Condition: This cut glass is over 100 years old.  There is contact fleabites and chips all around the inside of the rim from being used over the years.  And 1 tooth is half missing, while 3 or 4 other teeth have chips that would be considered larger than fleabite wear, but they didn't remove the teeth.  This is a good piece to use or display for this price, also could be a candidate for smoothing the inside of the teeth of desired or leave as is.  See pictures close up- this has been discounted for the condition of the rim

No Returns! : Sorry but due to cost of shipping & insurance for this heavy glass, I have a No returns policy! I do not charge you extra for shipping the first time- I pay it out of pocket, and its expensive.    I package very well at my own cost,  I cannot get that shipping back and also give you free shipping back here as well because you decided it wasn't what you needed anymore.  Please bid responsibly, thank you

Damaged in Transit/Shipping:  I will be shipping you expensive, fragile, antique glass.  Therefore it will be treated as such.  I wrap with lots of bubble and padding, use double boxing, mark fragile clearly all over the box, always pay to fully insure your item as well (so please read about Insurance claims next).  Items over 250- value will also have signature delivery, if you are worried about the postman leaving your items please message me.

Insurance claim (loss or damage):  Please do not open a dispute with ebay without contacting me first because it is not necessary. I will make an insurance claim and you will be taken care of.  I pack to survive, but if they break it I will need pictures to file the claim online. However,  shippers do not just honor claims online anymore with the photo's only- now they tend to ask for an inspection of the item. USPS will send a letter within a week asking for the item to be brought in for inspection, while other companies may come to the residence for the inspection by appointment.   I have to get the claim approved and the item inspected BEFORE I can refund now because they always require inspections and we have to comply with them.  So first, pictures.  Second, inspection with shipper. Third, shipper approval and refund sent to you.
