Seller: endoart (1,251) 100%, Location: Crown Point, Indiana, Ships to: US, Item: 332718794016 I’m an artist with a wide variety of interests. Over the years I’ve bought from many colleagues, galleries, boutiques, antique shops, resale stores, auctions, estate sales. This spring and summer I’ll be selling some pieces from my collections. This is the largest Egyptian faience ushabti I have. It is from the Late Kingdom- 26th dynasty, 663-525 BC. It has a certificate of authenticity from the Sadigh Gallery, New York, NY. It has readable hieroglyphics and a green glaze (with brown undertones). Ushabti are the servants of the afterlife, thus they are often buried with the dead. PROPORTIONS: This fine ushabti is slightly less than then 7” tall, and slightly longer than 2” wide and about 1 3/8” deep at its widest points. The figure comes with a custom Lucite stand that is fitted to its particular irregular form. I paid $900 for this fine piece in 2003 (see catalogue page). They sell for over 1000 now.I encourage you to research this period artifact and its price. If you need additional pictures I’d be happy to take them for you. I will accept returns within the first two weeks of purchase. The item(s) must be returned in original condition. If you have an issue please contact me and I will resolve it.I do not ship overseas due a major mistake the post office made that cost me over $400. So please don’t bid if you are outside the US. I will ship to Alaska and Hawaii. Provenance: Ownership History Available, Material: Faience
