THERE IS NO SHOPPING IN SAN LUIS. OK, THERE IS A DOLLAR STORE, A COUPLE OF OVERPRICED "MA AND PA" GROCERY STORES, 2 GAS STATIONS, ONE THAT HAS PAY AT THE PUMP THAT SOMETIMES WORKS. AND A COUPLE OF "POT" STORES. AND THE SCHOOLS IN SAN LUIS ARE "IMPROVING", I HAVE HEARD. ALL MY KIDS ARE GROWN NEXT -- MOST LOTS HERE IN COSTILLA COUNTY ARE PRETTY MUCH THE SAME. SAME MOUNTAINS, SAME VIEWS, SAME SAGEBRUSH, SAME RATTLESNAKES. NOW THERE ARE SOME SUBDIVISIONS THAT ARE DIFFERENT. LIKE MELBY RANCH, FORBES, AND SANGRE DE CRISTO RANCHES. BUT BY AND LARGE, THE SAN LUIS VALLEY IS ONE BIG FLAT VALLEY. THE ELEVATION IS ABOUT 7700' ALL OVER. SO, YOU SHOULD BE THINKING PRICE, PROBABLY MORE THAN LOCATION.
