Seller: myolddollsinc (8,833) 100%, Location: Grove City, OH, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 200715744279 From a doll estate I am pleased to offer you this bisque head German child doll in need of a little TLC restoration. This doll is incised on the back of bisque head 208 and below that 6-1/2, upper back says "Germany". Reference attributes this mold to J.D. Kestner, 1880s on. The legs are both marked with what could be a number 10?. I do not know her past history but will try to describe her the best I can. Measures 4-1/4" tall being all bisque jointed at the shoulders and legs. Strung fine, some wear on body but all intact. I notice a very tiny chip on the upper shoulder, some black ink on the left leg areas. All fingers intact doll wears black single strap shoes, white molded painted stockings with blue bands. A lovely little face with a Flaw, there is a LINE CRACK begining at a chip on the top rim (see photo #4 and photo #8) which extends down the face cheek area on the left side to the lower neck and back up again to the head area. Head is all intact but this may need some restoration. The inside of the head looks fine, there is plaster cement to secure the sleepy eyes on rocker as most doll people use. Wears human hair wig which is glued on a pate, it is old and shows wear. Doll has open and close blue glass sleepy eyes that work fine, painted lashes around her eyes, retains wax on her eye lids, brown brows, and closed mouth. Wears a handmade coat dress that has seen better days. I have taken plenty of photos, please look at my photos as they will serve as part of this description.
