Seller: biggestvolsfan (6,281) 99.3%, Location: Bluff City, Tennessee, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 173525527323 I've bought and sold many of these vinyl covered chairs, rarely have I ever found a set of them. Somehow a set always seems to be missing one chair. Even the pairs and singles I've sold, are rarely in as good of condition as all 4 of these. One close up of a corner of a bottom seat shows a small place on it, that's as bad as these get. In fact, I think I only see maybe 2 or 3 flaws in the coverings all together. These are unusual in that the metal legs and backs are painted, the paint is baked on from the factory. It's a off white, light beige, antique white maybe. It's not pure or clean white and if you look close at some of the pics, it's what was called speckled. Look closely at the pics, the paint does have some scratches on it but nothing major at all. The cross supports and the curved wire on the back is brass plated. Look closely at those pics because it has lots of patina. You have to be careful what you clean those with or it will remove all the plating. These look great if you remove them, sand blast them and paint them a color to match the rest of the chairs. Personally, I like them to llok their age and for me, these are perfect. I don't know if the hole in the brass top cover had something originally or it was just a hole. I'd guess there was something there at one time, perhaps a plastic hole cover or maybe a white plug that matched the legs. As you can see, whatever was there, if there was something, is missing. One pic shows one round floor cap missing on one chair. These are not hard to find and fairly easy to replace. I have a old set and I remove all of mine and replaced them with a simple rubber foot that slip up on the leg to protect my wood floors. Here's how I plan on shipping these if I have to. I will remove the legs and stack the chairs, then put all the legs in the box with them. This cuts the size of the box in half. I won't take them apart now, just in case whoever buys them can pick them up. I will mark each leg so you get them back in the place they were. The legs have fine thread bolts that go all the way thru the board and tighten in a nut on the other side, so no worries about them stripping out by taking them off. Let me know if you have any questions. Very unusual set and great condition for their age, I think the print on the bottom shows 65 for 1965, that looks to be about right for these chairs. These chairs are quiet heavy, each one weighs 18 lbs., nothing cheap made about them, but does increase the shipping cost. Condition: See pics and description., Material: Metal, Original/Reproduction: Original
