I've had fun with it, but my heart is not in it anymore. For the past 48 months, I've not done any advertising, website updates or anything to promote the business. However, I continue to sell weekly. Customers are probably stumbling across my website via other websites like "oddmusic.com" or by word of mouth?
The majority of my sales are in the US ( ~ 65% the rest are overseas ( Netherlands, UK, Japan, Australia, India, Brazil )
Again, the right person with a good attitude and marketing skills can make this business really successful.
Included in the sale will be everything associated with the RingFlute. This includes;
-inventory of ~50 units, also includes higher end wood and ceramic models.
- and MOST importantly are the CAD drawings ( SolidWorks ) for submitting directly to 3D printers ( the CAD drawings are the most valuable part of this business, thousands of hours and trial/error ) You do NOT have to keep any inventory, you can print your own or send directly to 3D manufacturers. You get to pick the material, color and finish. then you can sell them for whatever price you want. This is the future and it can be done now. Additionally, these can be printed for one of a kind gifts ( people pay me extra to customize a flute exactly to their specifications). You can see examples on "Shapeways.com" of my 3D printed 100% fully working flutes.
-website, all pictures, folders and charts, all patents, trademarks etc.
Again, what is wonderful about this business is that you do not need to have any office space, storage or material on hand. With the CAD drawings, customers can custom order there ringflute and it goes directly to a 3D print shop or print your own inventory to your 3D printer on demand as orders come in. They can pick from a large selection of plastics, metals or ceramics.
