Seller: pennantique (3,678) 98%, Location: Scranton, Pennsylvania, Ships to: US, Item: 264029348641 Penn Antique Restoration 35.5"x83"x1 1/2" Antique Queen Anne Door w/6 Panels What a rare find! Wonderful, antique door salvaged from an old home in Central Pennsylvania. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir and has a Queen Anne style, 6-panel arrangement. It's completely painted green and the molding around the panels is painted a gold color. The panels are recessed (flat) on both sides. Hardware: Aside from a mortise lock, the door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit the door (check out our eBay store). * If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote. Quirks & Considerations: The door's height was unevenly cut at some point by 3/4" and the width by 1/4". The cuts were most likely made to accommodate an old, warped floor or settling foundation. We can cut the door to an even 35 3/8"x83", cut it shorter/narrower, or even add wood to make it taller/wider--Email us for a quote. The door was originally a part of a pair. It has an astragal (divider strip or edge molding) along the interior edge of its lock stile. It is removable. Condition: The door's beauty and quality are only matched by it's great condition. The door has the typical nicks and scratches that you would expect to find on a 100+ year old door, but nothing serious like breaks, weak joints, rot, or warp. If you don't mind, the door is ready to use as is, but if you want a cleaner look, after some sanding, most of the cosmetic blemishes will be removed, and once stained or painted, they will either be invisible or barely noticeable. The door is strong, sturdy, and ready for another lifetime of service. Refinish/Repaint: We could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish. See the last photos in this auction as an example of our work. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote. Swing: The door is currently set up to swing inwardly towards the right. However, we can modify it to swing outwardly and/or towards the left--email us for a quote. Modification: We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace panels with glass, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote. Dimensions: 35 3/8" - 35 5/8" W x 83" - 83 3/4" H x 1 1/2" thick Too tall, short, wide or narrow? We could increase or decrease the height and/or width--email us for a quote.
