Item:352980069647Up for your consideration comes this GROUP OF 25 OLD, RARE AND ORIGINAL ANTIQUE BRASS TACKS. THESE ARE VERY EARLY TO MID 19TH CENTURY 1800-1850's. THESE TAPERED SHANK SOLID CAST BRASS TRADE TACKS ARE CORRECT FOR PIPE, TOMAHAWK HANDLES, AND PLAINS KNIFE SHEATH AND MUCH MORE. This is a great size to find as most are larger. The Indians used these to decorate many items. The earliest trade tacks were made of solid cast brass with brass tapered shanks and where traded by the Hudson Bay Company, North West Trade Company and others. These are 100% authentic. Dome top heads that measure aprox 5/16" depends on the way the head is turned when measuring. PATINA MAY VARY, SEE ALL PHOTOS for measurements as well as description. These are early to mid 19th century and there are no two identical carbon copies, all average the same size and some have irregular edges.
