Seller: jbee05342-8 (40) 100%, Location: Jacksonville, Florida, Ships to: US, Item: 201715069097 21 Antique Steel Cut Nails pulled from Oak Floor, Rusty and Shiny, experiment, 1/4lb this is a bit of an experiment, I have a lot of these nails which are very rusty. so I soaked a pound of them in vinegar to see how they look with less rust and they looked good, then I hit then with steam and that actually made them look bad, so I decided to hit them with a wire brush on my drill and the results were intersting. They came out shiny and new in some spots and still retained the old antique rusty finish in some areas, about a 50/50 ratio of rust to shine. I think this might be appealing to someone who is doing some art work, wood working projects, or something. I am not sure how they will be used but I thought I would put it out there to see if you like it. the one nail that is by the tape measurer shows the 'before' rusted look and is not included with this lot. I have included a few images to show the floor these nails came out of, this lot only include the nails shown and does not include any of the flooring or tools shown. The flooring pictures are just provided to show the source and history of the nails. if you are looking for antique rusty nails that have not been modified, then please see my collection of nails on ebay. I have a variety of quantities available ranging from 50 nails up to 3 lbs (about 250 nails). These are all from the same old oak floor that I personally removed.
