Seller: pennantique (3,684) 97.6%, Location: Scranton, Pennsylvania, Ships to: US, Item: 273563606364 Penn Antique Restoration ~ 2 available ~ 26"x79" Antique Arts & Crafts Interior Doors w/2 Panels * Although there are 2 doors available, the list price is for 1 door. If you are planning buying only 1 door, please email us after the auction to let us know which door you'd like. The first 3 photos show Door#1 and next 3 show Door#2. Handsome, interior doors salvaged from an old, home in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Each door is made of solid pine or Douglas Fir and has two recessed panels on both sides. When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, and soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees doesn't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old has. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. Hardware: No door is equipped with hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store, and tons more in our physical store. * If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with a solid wood, email us for a quote. Quirks & Considerations: The height and width of Door#2 and the height of Door#1 were unevenly cut, most likely to accommodate a warped floor or settling foundation. We could cut the door(s) square, cut them narrower/shorter, or even build them up to make them wider/taller--Email us for a quote. Condition: Both doors are strong, sturdy, and in great condition with only the common scrapes, scratches, and small nail holes that you usually find on old, used doors. These are minor cosmetic blemishes, which will mostly be removed during the finishing process and whatever remains will be covered if painted or appear as a character mark if stained. Refinish/Repaint: We could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the doors to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish. See the last photo in this auction as an example of our work. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote. Swing: Both doors are set up to swing into a room, towards the right, or outwardly, towards the left if you want to use them as pantry or closet doors. We could make any or all swing in the opposite direction--email us for a quote. Modification: Do you want to turn these 2 into a pair? Do you want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something else? We could modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
