A Pair of Vintage Blacksmith Made Cast Iron Door Strap Hinges.  My dad is a retired farmer who kept everything!  We are clearing out his barn and have found numerous sets of hinges.  He cannot remember where these came from but judging by their size they were probably on an old barn door or other large door.  One is thinner than the other and the back is pitted, this might be why it weighs less than the other hinge, tho it is still very strong.  One hinge may have been made to copy the other as there are some slight differences,  such as the ornate round ends of the hinges are different sizes, you can see this from the photos when the hinges are side by side.  This would not be noticeable when fitted to a door.  Length approx 97.5cm Width at hinge 6cm on one and 6.3cm on the other Weights vary; 3436g and 2374g They have a chamfered edge on the top end and approx 1/3 of the length on the bottom edge.  They have slight bends and imperfections due to their age and usage and being handmade.  Postage cost is based on weight when packed and insurance.  Serious buyers are welcome to view these hinges and any of our other items for sale.  Any questions contact Michael 07973 855005
