Up for bid is a Montblanc "Marcel Proust" Limited Edition (Writers Series) piston filling fountain pen in mint condition, complete with white cardboard sleeve, outer box, inner (book shape) box and manual with a blank warranty card (just as shipped from the factory). I've had this pen since 2000 and have never used it since I have another one (that I use in medium point). The pen has never been filled with ink and has only been dipped only once to try out the nib. The "Proust" in my opinion along with the Agatha Christie is one of the most beautiful of not only the writers series but also the "Patrons of Art" series. The pen features a sterling silver trim cap and a stunning faceted sterling silver barrel overlay. The fine point nib is simply an object of beauty, crafted out of 18k two tone gold and featuring an hour glass which is a theme in Proust works. The pen has a beautiful patina in the silver that occurs when the instrument has been put away and not handled. The pen is of course in perfect working order and is being offered without a reserve and starting at a dollar.                                      Thanks!
