This is something very cool, for an antique toilet bowl anyway.  This was produced in 1919, during a time before "Standard" was American Standard.  This was a concept by the Great Western Pottery Company, and "Standard" was in the process of purchasing the GWP Company.  The logo on the top of the bowl reflects this.  Earlier toilet bowls with this particular logo simply read GWP, and later bowls read "Standard" only, until logos were changed completely.  "Vitrite", was also another early term of the sanitary trade for "Standard".  Similar to things made by Trenton Potteries that had "Impervio" stamped on the back of their products, "Vitrite" was just a higher quality grade of Vitreous China.  And you can tell by the quality and the finish.  This is almost flawless, with a few dark spots in the glaze.  Otherwise, this has no damage to it, just a factory blemish or two.  The bowl is extremely shiny, and it is powerful.  But with a lot of power and no siphon jet, comes noise.  Now, noise can be a good thing.  But, I removed it from use only because of that reason.  The bathroom resides right next to a children's bedroom.  It was loud enough that when flushed, it could awaken someone whom might be a light sleeper, and maybe shared a wall where a toilet was installed.  Just being honest.  We opted for a more silent, antique toilet for our home, so the bowl was replaced.  This sat on a 14" rough in, and the tank outlet center was 4 1/2" from the wall mounting surface of the tank.  Now, speaking of the tank, I do still have the original tank for this.  As of right now, the tank itself is not for sale.  I have a pair of these, but only one original tank.  That may hurt the possibility of a sale, but that is just something that I will have to live with.  If this bowl doesn't sell, it won't be the end of the world.  I really wouldn't mind too much if I had to hang onto this for a while.  It might get used again.  But with that said, I do have a pair of these, so if someone wants a nice and really clean bowl, then this can be the one.  Any "Standard" tank from the same era will work with this toilet bowl, as I have seen these paired with other "Standard" tanks.  As pictured, it comes with the original spud, which by itself, can be expensive and difficult to find.  DEA Bathroom Machineries is the only place where you can still get this particular spud that I know of, and they are expensive.  DEA calls them Maddox Spuds (Maddock).  This particular spud was the only spud used by toilet bowls produced by the Bellmark Of Trenton pottery company (John Maddock), and GWP apparently adopted this spud as well until "Standard" completed the transaction.  It has been almost impossible for me to come across these particular spuds, if I found one of these bowls without.  Anyway, I have rattled on forever by now.  If any interest, please look over the pictures carefully and please ask questions if they arise.

A side note regarding shipping.  I really do not want to box this up myself.  There is a lot of time and knowledge that needs to go into boxing one of these up to ensure no breakage.  Therefore, I will pay to have a company of professionals do the packing.  There will be insurance, in the event of a mishap, as with all of my listings.  It usually takes me a day to get something dropped off at the local shipper, because of my job, hence the 2 days handling time.  If a potential buyer wants to make their own arrangements, please inform me.  If a potential buyer wishes to pick this up locally, please inform me prior to purchase so the listing can be amended.

Thanks.
